Provincial Technical Coordinator – Public Health, based in Saravan (Re-advertise)

Provincial Technical Coordinator – Public Health, based in Saravan (Lao National)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Support National Technical Specialist and Provincial Public Health Manager   to implement Public Health program in line with the program strategy, quality standards and the government policies and strategies on WASH, health & nutrition Provide all logistic supports for training, workshop and meeting events as required
  • Implement capacity assessments and capacity building processes with staff and/or provincial government counterparts and NPA partners.
  • Facilitate ongoing reflection and learning for staff and partners on program quality.
  • Identify support needs and provide tailored support and guidance for staff and partners in Saravan.
  • Identify and document good practices and case studies for shared learning and scale up.
  • Assist in updating the technical design, guidelines and approaches to reflect the experiences and lessons from the field.



·         Medical doctor or Midwife with 3 years training or Degree in Public Health and relevant post graduate qualification (MPH etc.)

·         knowledge of MoH health management system at provincial, district and community level

·         Excellent written and spoken Lao, fluency in an ethnic language and English an advantage

·         Knowledge on apply basic computer office applications

·         Demonstrated ability to coach, train and mentor staff and government partners with report writing skill an advantage

·         Skills conducting training need assessments, training module development and implementation, and session facilitation;

·         facilitation and training skills


Early Childhood Care and Development & Basic Education Coordinator, based in Vientiane Capital

Duties and responsibilities:

•    Coordinate the program budgets of Basic Education and Early Childhood Care and Development programs/projects

•    Coordinate with Provincial Basic Education and Early Childhood Care and Development program/project managers on budget related issues

•    Regularly review budget plan and expenditure for Basic Education and Early Childhood Care and Development programs/projects;

•    Coordinate with finance and admin team on day-to-day administrative and finance related to the Basic Education and Early Childhood Care and Development programs/projects

•    Assist in developing of new funding proposals for Basic Education and Early Childhood Care and Development programs/projects.



•    Degree in management or relevant field (education management, business management, community development, social development etc.) or evidence of equivalent attainment

•    Fluent Lao and very good English essential, knowledge of an ethnic minority language an advantage

•    1 to 2 year experience in participatory community development management with international organizations

•    Demonstrated skills in capacity building of local staff and partners

•    Skills engaging directly with women and children in remote, ethnic group villages

•    Good facilitation and training skills

•    Good computer skills in office applications
