Early Childhood Care and Development & Basic Education Coordinator (base in Vientiane Capital)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Primarily manage and support Plan Laos’ assistants and district coordinators to implement program activities
  • Coordinate with Provincial and sometimes national government counterparts- with line manager
  • Provide the building the capacity of District and sometimes Provincial government counterparts and Plan Laos education & ECCD program staff members;
  • Regularly review budget plan and expenditure for ECCD & Education programs;
  • Assist in developing of new funding proposals for BEP and ECCD programs/projects.

Requirements:

  • Degree in relevant field  ( teacher education, education management, business management, community  development, social development etc.) or evidence of equivalent attainment
  •  Fluent in Pasa Lao and very good English essential, knowledge of an ethnic minority language an advantage
  •  2 to 3year’s experience in participatory community development management with international organizations
  •  Demonstrated skills in capacity building of local staff and partners 
  • Skills engaging directly with women and children in remote, ethnic group villages
  • Good facilitation and training skills
  • Good computer skills in office applications
