Mission Statement

To build human resources for healthcare through training of specialist in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.

Programme Description

Health Frontiers helped to initiate and continues to support post-graduate training programs in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. HF has also taken a leading role in supporting and facilitating Pediatric and IM subspecialty fellowships as well as Continuing Medical Education for Lao physicians.

Projects: Ongoing teaching and administrative support of post-graduate training programs; financial and administrative support for Lao IM graduates to Khon Kaen University for fellowship; coordination and administrative support for Lao pediatric graduates to KKU for fellowship; annual Continuing Medical Education for practicing Lao pediatricians; malnutrition project with Pediatric residents in Salavan province, active Social Pediatrics curriculum within residency program; building English language proficiency among Lao doctors in training.
