Delivering Environmental and Social Multiple Benefits from REDD+ in Southeast Asia

Last updated:

The project Delivering Environmental and Social Multiple Benefits from REDD+ in Southeast Asia (MBREDD), specifically in Vietnam and Lao PDR, is designed to promote social and environmental safeguards in these countries.

The Department of Forestry Resource Management (DFRM) in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) is the lead agency in developing national strategies and programmes to reduce emissions of greenhouse gasses (GHG) from deforestation and forest degradation, and implement REDD+.

With the support of SNV and funding from the government of Germany (BMUB) the project seeks to address these emission reductions while enhancing forest governance and to promote social and environmental safeguards.
